Blessings Before Chanting Eichah (Lamentations)

This lesson teaches the blessing before chanting Eichah (Lamentations).

Note that it uses the same Tropes you have learned for Eichah.

This blessing is recited when one chants from a Megillah scroll, whether or not a

Press the "Play" button in the exercise controls to hear the phrase. Try chanting the phrase.

Press "Play" as often as needed to hear how the phrase should be chanted. You can double-click on any word in the exercise and hear just that word. As always, we suggest you record yourself singing so you can hear any errors and make corrections as well.

When you think you have learned the phrase, press the "Next Exercise" button in the Exercise Controls and do the exercises.

Repeat these exercises until you can chant each of the displayed phrases without having to think about it.

Press "Next Lesson" in the lesson controls for the chart of Common Trope Combinations for Eichah (Lamentations)
